You have probably heard a lot about using CBD Oil for sleep. CBD Hemp Oil is showing up in the news more and more every day and with 60 million people in the United States suffering from insomnia, it is no wonder people are asking “Does CBD Oil help sleep?” But, that leads to other questions about CBD Oil. Which one, how much, does it work? Relax, I will help you anser those very questions.
I started using CBD Oil for sleeping about 3 weeks ago. I was astounded at the success I have had with this amazing compound. I had suffered from insomnia for years and nothing had helped me. It was slowly ruining my life until I tried CBD Oil as a natural insomnia remedy. There are many natural insomnia remedies that work for some people. Unfortunately, I was not one of them. The only natural insomnia treatment that has worked for me has been CTFO CBD Oil.
Then my life started turning around. My mental clarity has been returning. My anxiety and depression have pretty much just disappeared. Aches and pains that I had written off as just part of aging were slowly fading away. Even more serious health ailments that I was told could not be fixed and just needed managing have started to improve. And all this after just about 20 days of using CBD Oil for health.
It was this success that caused me to build this website so I could share what a miracle it has been in my life. I hope to help others find relief from things that are destroying there quality of life like insomnia was doing to me.
So, let’s take a look at CBD and sleep.
What is the Best CBD Oil for Sleep?
The real question here is “What is the Best CBD Oil?”
Why? Well, based on my research, CBD Oil formulations that are being marketed for specific ailments are really just all about the marketing. Marketing Departments are tasked with the job of making companies products as desirable as possible to the most number of people possible. Whenever one product can sell in two different markets it is very profitable.
As the benefits of CBD Oil are being discovered, marketing departments everywhere are rebranding the same formulation into different products. CBD Oil For Pain, CBD Oil for Anxiety, CBD Oil for Sleep, it is all really the same product.
Sometimes a company will make minor changes in order to make the product appear to be a specific recipe. I have been using a CBD Sleep Spray from CTFO. My research has shown that CTFO makes the highest quality CBD Oil available. However, there sleep spray includes Melatonin and Gaba. Both of these ingredients are known in the natural insomnia cure world, yet, neither of them ever worked at all for me. I would venture to say that most of the people who are interested in trying CBD Oil for sleeping have already tried these other ingredients with minimal or no luck. If they had, in fact, worked well for someone, that someone would not still be looking for an alternative.
So, for most of us, looking for the best specific CBD Oil Sleep Formulation is not the right thing to do. Instead, let’s look for the best CBD Oil possible so we can reap the best benefits from our investment in our health.
As I mentioned, I use the CTFO brand of CBD Oil. I have done tons of research on CBD Oil and it is not all created equal. CBD has the highest purity standards I found, the lowest levels of THC I found, the best quality hemp, and an outstanding company culture dedicated to bringing the best quality CBD products available to the market. In fact, their name, CTFO, stands for “Changing The Future Outcome”. You see, for CTFO, it isn’t about selling a product. It is about changing the outcomes of all those who use their products as well as all those who distribute them. I was personally on a bad future outcome course with my insomnia. CTFO CBD Oil changed my future outcome by helping me solve my insomnia.
From a technical perspective, here is why I love CTFO products.
- Transparency ~ They publish the test data for there products on their website for all to see. That is transparency and shows me they have nothing to hide. In fact, since these are scientific test results that may confuse some people, they even include all the information necessary to understand those test result. There is no question as to the quality of the product they provide you.
- Non-GMO Hemp ~ CTFO CBD Oil is made only from non-GMO industrial hemp. Their hemp is always pesticide free and the highest quality available. After all, do you want to use a natural health product to improve your quality of life that is made from GMO’s and pesticides? I hope the answer to that is no.
- No Heat Processing ~ CTFO never uses any heat in the processing of there CBD Oil. This ensures the full potency of the CBD Oil that you are purchasing.
- Co2 Extraction Process ~ This helps to guarantee you the highest quality product that will provide you with the best results. After all, it really is all about the results, or should I say, about changing the future outcome.
- Price ~ CTFO provides a product that is simply superior and is often as much as 30% less than there competitors. They do this by taking great care of their associates network which provides them with one of the most effective marketing programs in the industry.
So, for my money, CTFO is simply the highest quality CBD Oil available. My health is important to me and I am not going to risk it on an inferior quality product that is sometimes significantly more money. I think CTFO makes the best CBD Oil for sleep.
Plus, I tried others and did not get the results. About a year ago, I had the opportunity to try some assorted sleep aid products based on CBD and Cannabis. I tried two different formulations that I purchased. Neither of them worked for me at all. Those were retail store products from a state where Marijuana is legal.
Here in Idaho, CBD Oil is legal and can be purchased in many health food stores. I went into a store fairly close and found CBD Oil that was diluted down with carriers I was uncomfortable with and with labels that were not real clear as to the quality of the product.
When I tried the CTFO products, I had relief starting from the first dose. Within 12 hours I felt my anxiety lift away. My sleep slowly started improving and within 2 weeks I was pretty much at what I would consider a normal sleeping pattern.
Will CBD help you sleep? It certainly did for me. If you get a high-quality product like CTFO, I suspect you will have a positive experience. They even offer a 60-day money back guarantee so you have no money to lose.
What is the best CBD Oil for sleep? For my money, it is CTFO hands down.
CBD Oil for Insomnia. How does it work?
This could get very technical very quickly if I am not careful. So, I am going to refer you to other articles on our website that get into a bunch of the really technical stuff. Right now, I will just give you an overview of the processes in your body that utilize CBD Oil. If you want to read all the more technical stuff, you can read “What is CBD Extract” or “How Does CBD Oil Work in the Body”
All mammals have an Endocannabinoid System. This system utilizes cannabinoids to help receptors send messages to and from the brain. This system is responsible for things like memory, mood (anxiety and depression), inflammation, pain management, appetite, energy balance, stress management, and even exercise.
When our Endocannabinoid system is working with all the right information it needs, our bodies stay fairly close to the level of balance or homeostasis. This allows our bodies to take care of themselves.
You see, one of the biggest problems in the average persons’ health is inflammation. Inflammation is actually a good thing as it is the body’s way to heal itself. However, if the mind is getting bad signals from the Endocannabinoid system, it can create inflammation where it isn’t needed. That results in pain and a state of what science would call disease.
However, if the Endocannabinoid system is sending the proper information to the brain, the brain will not create an improper level of inflammation. So the problem is solved by never creating it in the first place.
So, cannabinoids such as Cannabidiol (CBD) work with our endocannabinoid system to help our bodies communicate better with our brain so that our brain can properly manage our health based on proper information.
As For CBD and Sleep
It isn’t that CBD Oil is directly affecting our sleep. For most of us with insomnia, the root cause of that insomnia is usually stress or anxiety. It is very difficult for us to sleep when we are stressed or anxious. In fact, the whole concept of being stressed means that our bodies are partially in the fight or flight mode. This ancient instinct state allowed the human race to survive in hostile environments.
Good for survival, but not good for sleep. The problem is that we really don’t need to be a fight or flight mode. The stressors of today’s world are not normally life-threatening. A bad day at work, arguments with a spouse, children misbehaving, a car breakdown, etc. do not normally need that type of response. However, your brain doesn’t understand that part. It hears stress and responds.
Your body gets all pumped up with special chemicals the brain signals to have you ready to take on the source of your stress. Unfortunately, many of us are in this state of stress non-stop. So, our brain sends out the chemicals non-stop. The process wears us out as we are always utilizing more energy than we should and it never allows us to fully relax and rebuild our stores.
However, we previously read how the Endocannabinoid System helps to control things like stress management and mood. The CBD helps balance us out by helping our body to communicate its needs better. As a result, for many people, anxiety seems to disappear. For me, it was my first dose of CBD Oil that seemed to just stop my anxiety in its tracks. It was about 6 hrs into the night when I was woken up. Normally, this would have been very stressful and cause me anxiety. I would have laid there fighting to go back to sleep. If you have insomnia I bet you can relate.
That fight to go back to sleep would then start a vicious cycle where the more I fought the more anxious I would get. The result being I could never get back to sleep. Yet, on my first night with CBD Oil when I woke up, I noticed I was calm. I wasn’t anxious or stressed. I was calm and relaxed. Subsequently, I went back to sleep easily.
That was the start of my sleep quality improving every day since.
OK, so CBD and sleep are linked by way of anxiety and stress. As the CBD allows us to manage those areas better, better quality sleep is the natural by-product. CBD Oil for insomnia is really just an overall body balancing that goes on when the CBD works in sync with our Endocannabinoid system.
People see CBD Oil as one of many natural insomnia cures, however, CBD Oil is not really a cure for anything, although it does instigate improvement in many areas of health.
OK, A Quick Recap Before We Move On
The best CBD Oil for sleep is really just the best overall CBD Oil. In my opinion, that is the CTFO CBD Oil.
A CBD Sleep Aid may include other ingredients but the primary benefit is coming from the CBD Oil. The Best results are often achieved simply by taking a very high-quality oil.
Cannabidiol (CBD) works in our bodies in conjunction with our Endocannabinoid System that is designed to utilize cannabinoids such as CBD. It does not directly signal our bodies to sleep. It works for sleep by allowing us to more fully relax by signaling our brain to reduce our stress and anxiety.
Does CBD Oil help sleep? Current studies are showing that for most people the results are positive. From my personal test, CBD has practically been a miracle for me. You can read about my 30-day test of using CBD Oil for sleep during which I documented each day and how my results were going. You can read that article —>HERE<—.
CBD Dosage For Sleep
Just what is the correct dosage of CBD Oil for better sleep? This is a very tricky question and one that I think gets answered with way too much certainty on other sites.
While I will give you some guidelines based on my personal experiences, I can not say with accuracy what the proper dosage is for you. Anyone that says they can tell you that, is just lying to you.
As you read, CBD is not directly affecting your sleep. As such, it is impossible to say how much is needed for your body to respond in such a manner as to reduce your stress and anxiety to the point that you can get a good nights sleep.
CBD Oil Dosage in General
CTFO makes a variety of CBD Oil strengths. The lowest potency formula is 300mg. Then it goes to 500mg, 750mg, and 1500mg. The following bullet points are directly from the CTFO website.
➢ The 300mg drops are for those looking to maintain optimal health.
➢ The 500mg drops are for those looking for a slightly higher-level CBD oil to stimulate optimal
➢ The 750mg drops are for those looking for even a higher-level of CBD oil to maintain healthy
➢ The 1500mg drops are the highest level of CBD oil to support the body’s antiviral and natural
As you can see, applying a general statement of “this is how much you need” is not really the right thing to do. Each person is different and their body has different needs.
What I Use for CBD and Sleep
My personal test of CBD Oil for Sleep has been based on using two products. I take the CTFO CBD Oil in the 500mg strength twice a day as per the instructions on the label. I take them roughly 12 hours apart but I don’t think you need to stress about being too strict about that. CBD appears to stay in your system for about 3-5 days. The effects don’t last nearly that long and in some cases, it has been found noticeable effects last only about 5 hours. However, this is a misnomer in that some of the best effects of CBD Oil are ones we can not specifically feel.
I can attest that my anxiety is simply gone. It doesn’t disappear for 5 hours and return. I take my CBD approximately every 12 hours and I feel no difference in effect at any time. One factor that may influence the test results I found was that I don’t think there CBD Oil was of the quality of the CTFO that I have been testing. Better products provide better results.
So, I am taking the 500mg CBD Oil twice a day and I use the CBD Sleep Aid Spray right before bedtime. Knowing what I have learned since starting my evaluation of CBD as a natural insomnia treatment, I do not believe the CBD Sleep Aid is necessary. I will know more about that when my test ends and I see if there is a change in my sleep without it. The CBD Sleep aid is only adding about 1 milligram to my daily total.
Now, if your body is way more out of balance than mine, you may need to more than the 500mg bottle. If it is way less out of balance, then you may want to use the 300mg bottle.
Where I Was At
Four years ago, I went through a lot. The extreme stress lasted well over a year and I was at a very high level of stress for another year. I was a mess. The doctors flooded my body with prescriptions for years. The side effects of stopping those prescriptions put me in the hospital twice. My full recovery took 6 months, one of which was spent in bed barely able to walk, and then 3 more walking on crutches, and then hobbling for a few more. Two years later, I still do not have full normal feeling in my left leg. Yes, from sleeping pills.
After the prescription drugs, I had no choice but to switch to OTC sleeping pills. I was getting almost no sleep without some help. OTC pills sort of worked but gave me horrible hangovers for hours the next day and brain fog that never went away. I was on those for over 4 months straight when I stopped cold turkey and switched to CBD. The results were apparent the next morning.
What Should You Use?
I hate to recommend a dosage for someone else. I suspect that as messed up as my body was if the 500mg has worked for me, it would work for most. 300mg may be enough.
People who are using the 1500mg are usually fighting cancer with it. Yes, it is proving to be a very potent weapon against cancer. It is being studied widely for that at many research facilities and Universities.
I tend to like to be conservative. I would say start low and see how it works.
Thoughts About CBD Oil for Sleep
There are many natural sleep remedies for insomnia. Yet, there are very few natural insomnia remedies that work for me. In fact, CBD Oil for sleep is the only one that has worked for me so far. Of course, I am done looking now.
As you know, the medical approach to my insomnia did not end well. My preference is clearly to have a natural insomnia treatment. I suspect that is your goal as well or you wouldn’t be reading this.
