Help! I Have Severe Insomnia!
Have you ever done it, just screamed “Help! I have severe insomnia!”? Have you found people don’t really understand?
Having suffered from non-stop insomnia for years, many people in my life knew. Funny thing was that even though most of them did not have insomnia, they all seemed to know how to fix it. Meditation, honey, chamomile, fresh air, and a thousand more. Don’t get me wrong, all those friends of mine meant well with their advice.
Yet, if you have been suffering from insomnia for years, I suspect you have tried at least a hundred different insomnia remedies searching for one that worked for me. I suspect that they all work for someone, but we are all unique. What works for me, may not work for you and vice versa.
I Had Severe Chronic Insomnia!
In fact, my doctor told me that he thought it was a genetic issue since nothing he did worked for me. Eventually, they had to put me on a cocktail of multiple sleeping pills. That didn’t end well for me. And Genetics? I know of no one else anywhere in my family that has had what I would call acute insomnia.
CBD Oil has been working for my insomnia near perfectly. In fact, if this is your first time here, this post is for day 22 of my personal test.
CBD Oil helped me sleep the first night. I have now had 22 nights of at least decent quality of sleep and many of those were really good nights of sleep. Based on statistics, that may actually put me ahead of most Americans where insomnia is an epidemic with more than sixty million suffering.
I am using CTFO CBD Oil in the 500mg strength. I take it twice a day, morning and evening. Additionally, I am also using the CTFO CBD Oil Sleep Spray. I use it right before bed. It gets sprayed under the tongue and gets absorbed really fast that way.
I am of the belief that the CBD Sleep Spray is no longer needed in my case. I think I get the majority of my help from the CBD Oil. However, I think I will always keep the CBD Sleep Spray on hand for travel, sleeping in a strange place, etc. Anything that takes me out of my routine might be worthy of a quick couple of sprays under my tongue.
How Day 21 Finished
You may recall that I was woken up about 3:30 am by an emergency alert tone. It was quite obnoxious and woke me from a very deep sleep. Unfortunately, being an emergency tone, it also stirred up a lot of adrenaline. I stayed in bed a while but never got back to sleep.
I did not have my most productive day. But it wasn’t horrible. And, I stayed up until nearly 10 pm with a pretty decent level of alertness and focus. Since I had been up since 3:30 am, I consider that a good day. My old normal meant being in a brain fog every day until around 5 when I am more in a walking coma mode.
I am guessing I got about 6 1/2 hours of sleep and I had a lot of pretty good dreams. Dreaming has been somewhat new for me. I had been taking sleeping pills of various types for over 4 years. During that time, I never dreamt much. I don’t think the pills were giving me any real quality of sleep and I don’t think I spent very much time in the REM sleep cycle. There has clearly been more dreaming that I have been aware of this last 3 weeks.
My doctor told me I was one of the most extreme insomnia cases he had encountered. I doubt I am really that unique but I do live in a very small town. I don’t think as many people suffer from insomnia in the rural parts of the country as much as in the cities.
